Dog Safety Course for Kids Cost: FREE
Why Dog Safety is Important
Dog bites are a significant concern, especially for children. In Canada, it’s estimated that there are over 500,000 dog bites annually. While specific numbers for British Columbia aren’t always available, this gives a sense of the scale.
Common Victims
- Children aged 5 to 9 years are most commonly bitten by dogs. Young children are often bitten on the face and neck, while adults are typically bitten on the hands.
- Familiar Dogs: 77% of dog bites come from a friend’s dog or the family’s own dog. Mind-blowing, right?
Our Program
This program presented at your child's Preschool or Elementary School creates a better future for dogs by teaching the pillars of dog safety to children through engaging music videos!
Why Focus on Children?
Children are, by far, the most common victims of dog bites. Studies show that educating kids on how to act around dogs significantly increases appropriate behavior. I’m committed to helping kids learn how to interact safely with all the dogs they encounter, whether their families own one or not. That’s why I’m offering this program for free.
Central Theme: RESPECT
Our programs focus on one central theme: RESPECT. We teach kids what dogs really like, what they don’t like, and when they just need a break
